The Best Choice of the Year award winner will be announced on the opening ceremony of COMPUTEX on June 5. Visitors can see all the winning products in Nangang Exhibition Hall Booth I0307 during COMPUTEX.

The Trends: Deep Integration of Software and Better User Experience

TCA pointed out that there are over 350 products which registered for this year’s Best Choice Award. The main feature of the winners is “fulfilling the customers demand”. This means the products must be able to provide a high add-on value by having high performance, low power consumption, and better user experience. For example: gaming products now no longer compete on specifications only; deeper software integration and better user interface becomes the main differentiation between brands.

The Winning Factors: UX and AI

The judges awarded a total of 35 products with 36 awards; 8 of them won the Golden Award (details of the winners are attached). 3 Special Awards are also given for specific criteria. The Jury’s Special Award is given to SMEs whose innovative products have high market potential. The Best Design Award is given to products with the most outstanding ID design and the Green ICT Award for the most environmentally friendly products.

The juries stated that many applicants put a higher importance on user experience. For example, computers and motherboards are already mature products, which is why the design and market segment become more specialized and have high quality: energy usage, sound & video quality, size, or other aspects.

In addition, due to the growing popularity of AI technologies, the applicants have also implemented AI computing functions to provide better user experience or better business intelligence; improving competitiveness in more aspects than hardware.
