COMPUTEX Official Award BC Award Added AI & Big Data to Award Categories’ Lineup.
A 2017 report from PwC titled “Sizing
the Prize” discussed that usage of AI can increase productivity; from
process automation or process augmentation; and increase customer demand from
customized offerings. The result would be an increase in Global GDP by 14% or
an aggregate of $15.7 trillion in 2030. The 3 regions to benefit the most from
this increase are predicted to be China, North America, and Southern Europe;
while the industries which will benefit the most from AI & big data
application will be retail, technology, and medical/ healthcare.
For this reason, COMPUTEX 2018 welcomes the AI & Big Data category
to its official award, the Best Choice Award (also known as BC Award)
Categories Lineup. The main focus is the application of AI and Big Data in
improving businesses, societies, and economies. This award is open for the
providers of software, hardware, and cloud solutions in AI and Big data. As is
for the other categories, the winners of this category will have their products
displayed in Nangang Exhibition Hall 1 during COMPUTEX and the golden winners
will be honored during the COMPUTEX TAIPEI opening ceremony.
SMEs and startups can also join the Jury’s Special Award which will be
given to candidates whose products/ services have not only great quality, but
also great potential. Winners of the Jury’s Special Award will also get the
same benefits of exposure, visibility, and will be displayed in the same
gallery as the other winners of BC Award.
